I want to take my range-top and the drawer under the oven from almond to white and I'm wondering if there is a paint that will take the heat and still look good.

Danny is correct. You want to use a spray epoxy paint. But first you will need to clean the old surface really good. First clean it with a good spray cleaner like 409 and use a brush on all the surfaces you want to paint. Then buy and use either TSP or a TSP substitute to clean it and then make sure wipe it good with a moist cloth to remove any film. I personally go back with alcohol or acetone and make sure there is no film on the surface. then paint the surface and make sure it's in a dust free place for the drying time.

Be warned that it will not be as good as a manufacturers finish. Most use an electrostatic paint system that basically attracts the paint to the surfaces. I also would not attempt to paint the inside of the range. Just paint the outside surfaces.

Hint do your prep work right and the paint job will be a lot easier. A clear space to prep and paint and a dust free space to do it. Use a good paint. It's been a long time since I sold paint so I'm not sure who the good brands are now but Krylon and Rustolium use to be good brands. Don't now about now.

There's not a really perfect substitute for the manufacturer's paint, but there are good appliance epoxy heat-resistant spray paints that you might like, and in white. Like any other paint job, prep will make it or {quickly} break it. Clean, sanded baby-butt smooth, tacked-off, and then multiple coats evenly applied.

There are stove grade spray paints. While they are designed to withstand the heat of a stove, they generally don't really look all that great. It would be better to have the appliance professionally enameled if it is a higher end model. Otherwise, you should simply replace the appliance.

There are spray paints available that are specially made for appliences. go to homedepot and ask them. but make sure you windows are open before you start spraying because ususally the have strong smell. also read the instruction on the bottle.

you dont need to get it done professionally. just follow the instructions on the product.

I suspect that if you started such a project and saw it through to the end, you'd wind up saying, "it would've been simpler & easier to just replace the darn thing".
