I had a squeaky closet door so I spritz the hinges with wd40 and opened a window and turned on my ceiling. How long before it's safe to go back in my room? I also don't want to die in my sleep as a result of sleeping in here too soon. Help???

No worries sweetie, if it is not bothering you by it's smell you are fine. It is safe. Believe me, I am a girl who uses all kinds of things that are considered a "mans" application. I am still alive and breathing! :-) You go girl, take care of what you need to and don't have fear, just be armed with willpower and knowledge! :-)

The WD-40 overspray is not going to harm you if all you did was do the hinges. BTW WD-40 is not the greatest for lubing hinges. It is a water dispersant that has some temporary lubricating effect. Hardware stores and Home Depots have another spray on lube that is really an oil like stuff that works better longer.

About 5 mins - Unless you are allergic to the spray - It contains nothing that can harm you if you only used it on the hinges -

It's harmless if you just used enough for a hinge.

You don't need to leave the room , unless the smell bothers you.

It's just made of fish oil so it's perfectly safe.

It won't hurt you. You can go back in now, unless the smell of it actually irritates you, but it won't actually hurt you.
