NEVER EVER INCREASE THE SIZE OF A FUSE. Its a 3 amp fuse for a reason. The machines electronics can only handle 3 amps worth of current. By up sizing fuse you will allow too much current flow and will damage or destroy it, and in worse case scenario's start a fire. It obvious something is wrong, whatever the problem is its pulling more than 3 amps. There are many possibilities here, from a ground fault to a short, to the heating element breaking down. Have it looked at if its financially viable, or just replace it.

I imagine that the element is between 1 and 2 Kw, which is about 4-9 amps, so I'm surprised that it worked for so long with a 3amp fuse fitted. I would fit a 13amp, it will be fine, unless there is an internal fault, which will blow the 13a fuse in any case.

ADDED>> It appears to be 1000 watts, so should be okay with a 5 amp fuse.

Don't advise you increase the fuse rating, you may cause further damage. You have a fault somewhere, it needs looking at.

Did it blow instantly, then get it repair.

If it blows after a few minutes , get a 5 amps fuse.
