where do i get a water meter rim?

i noticed my water meter lid was sinking into the ground and i can see a big hole behind it. i had a water guy come out and he left a note saying that i need a rim for the lid. I don't know anything about this stuff so where do i get one and how do i put it on there?

Try home depot or any major construction supply co.

You can purchase Meter Boxes at Home Centers. It is simply a box that sets over the meter and also prevents freezing during cold weather.

That's their property, he should have put a work order in so that they can replace it.....He left a note to let you know what was wrong. Call your water company to see if he did.

You DON'T! They DO! Please get back on to them and make sure THEY sort it for you. I believe you are NOT permitted to touch anything on the meter and could be fined for doing so. Please ring the water board office asap and clarify the matter before you do anything to the meter.
