Question:
Why won't my pool pump restart after I've reset the circuit breakers?

Recently had a power-surge that effected a couple of bathroom outlets inside the house, as well as the pool pump outside.
After resetting the circuit breaker marked "GFCI Outlets", everything came back on - except the pool pump.
So, impatient me tried flipping each breaker, one by one, to see if the plug on the outside of the house was connected to a different breaker...but nothing.
What does this mean? I've blown a fuse completely and now need to replace it? (which I have no idea how to do!)

I greatly appreciate any help that can be given!

Try plugging something else into the outlet to see if it still works. Hopefully the power surge didn't fry the pump. Check if the outside outlet has a reset button on it as it may be a gfi also. Good luck.

nicely the activate the heater has not something to do with that at the start. And secondly oftentimes it quite is the winding interior the motor that have long gone undesirable. Sound to me like its extra of a electric difficulty probably regardless of the breaker itself. they might placed on out and holiday much less annoying the older they're. yet while the breaker is tripping and the pump is the only ingredient hooked as much as the circuit then i might look at it being the breaker or the motor is drawing too many amps

O.K. I have a couple of thoughts on this. First, is the pump on a timer? Second, is the pump on an isolated circuit, as it should be because it is outside exposed to weather and the pool? Also, could you try pluging the pump into a different plug that you know works to test the pump itself?

Hope I've been helpful. Good Luck!

Sometimes there is another reset button on the pump itself. Or the motor starter (capacitor) blew. That's an easy fix. Electric motors need a starter also called a capacitor, that stores energy greater than what is needed while the motor is running and uses it at start up.

Try that or call a guy.

i own a pool company and sounds like the circut breaker your pool pump is on is fried. is that circut breaker weak? will it not stay in the on position?
