Why does my lawn mower keep blowing fuses when I turn the key to crank it?

I don't have with me all the details of the lawn mower but this is the info that I do have. The mower is an older statemans riding lawn mower with a double blade deck. Every time I turn the key to crank it the fuse blows before it makes any sound. I have changed the safety switches to the clutch, the seat and the level that turns the blades on and it still does it. I have also changed the switch itself and I have traced the wiring to see if its shorting out on the body of the mower and I can't find anything wrong.
I have pretty good mechanical and electrical skills ( I use to work on jets in the USAF for 6 years) but I hope I can get some help on this one.

To blow a fuse the mower must have a short circuit if the fuse is the proper size.Undo the wire off the starter and turn the key to crank. If it still blows ,starter is fine.If the mower has a starter solenoid, unhook it then try to crank it to see if that's ok and keep checking the switches and wiring for a short.

we could seem at this subject as a small subject without going over your head on it. whilst a fuse blows that is an instantaneous indication of a quick. from time to time no longer all a nasty selnoid might reason that, yet a defective ignition swap will reason it too. those are the only pysical attributes to blow a fuse. the final factor is an instantaneous warm hit to the floor by using a frey interior the cord of that nature, however the effort-free answer is plenty greater possibly for me to wager it is your ignition swap.

wire it to bypass the fuse if it has a short then you will find it soon after it starts
