If I run my air conditioner without the filter for a couple days will it hurt it?

I threw away the filters for my A/C and called the complex office to replace. Losers said they were out of replacement filters until Tuesday. If I run untill then w/out filter will it hurt anything?

No it won't, but only a few days, otherwise coil could become clogged with dust and A\C wouldn't work properly, even though I saw many systems running without air filter for months, but that's not good.

It should not hurt it to run it without an air filter. Basically the air filter just fiters the air so that the air coming back out of the vents is "cleaner" than when it went in. I would get one as soon as possible though

Should be OK till then but now you cooling coil gets to be the filter and that is harder to clean.

If you don't trust your complex pick one up if your out and get it in there.Even tho it's their problem if it's forgotten about you will have to deal with scheduling repairs.

HVAC Tech.: won't hurt it for a few days, but it sure won't help it none. Hardware stores got'em lumber yards got'em they are cheap so don't go without for long. you breath that air too.

Just a couple days shouldn't hurt at all unless you are remodeling or it is very dusty inside!

well it helps to keep your air clean and also the ac unit itself clean. so I dont reccomend it but yes you can

no. but you can put fabric sheets there and it will keep some dust out and a great smell in
