I need to take up a portion of laminate wood planks. It is a floating tongue and groove with no glue. I need to do it without damage.

Remove the quarterround at the closest wall. Unsnap the boards and lay them FLAT to the side if you are reusing them. You should find it very very simple once you remove the quarterround.

I think you're going to have to start from the nearest wall and remove the boards until you get to the area you're interested in.

i agree with the first 2 answers. you have to start at a wall first. it should be easy to pop up an out.
