The keypad upstairs is pc5508 and downstairs I have a keypad pc1555 both kooked to same panel and both giving off the beep. I hit *2 and the number 3 comes up indicating trouble with phone line. My phone line seems to be working fine though. I can't get someone out from alarm company until tomorrow. Is there a way I silence this thing for the night short of taking a hammer to it?

Thanks

Usually you just punch in your code and it stops

Also check out the phone jack most likely under the main box as it may be unplugged.

you could go to the control panel box and unhook the battery and unscrew the ac wires, that would turn off the power completely. no beeps...i also wanted to mention that if you have recently changed phone services from a regular land line to comcast or some other internet provided phone, that it will cause a communication failure. Alarm systems are analong and the newest phone stuff is digital so they are not compatible...just a thought

Could be low battery, house alarms do al sorts of unusual things when they have low battery.
