I plan on moving to an new apartment in a couple of weeks. I checked on my furniture today and saw a lot of spiders and spider webs all inside the storage unit. I wrapped my mattress and pillows, but not the couches or chairs. I'm worried that spiders might be living inside of the couches. I want to use Raid Fumigator I'm the storage unit twice on the day I move into my apartment so I won't move any spiders in also. Is fumigating the storage unit the best option besides getting an exterminator?

You need to hurry and fumigate, so the fumes will air out and be gone by the time you move. Don't worry so much about spiders. If you end up with spiders in your apartment, most of them will probably be crawling in from outside, not from your furniture from storage. You always have to get rid of spiders, year after year, especially in a ground-floor apartment. The best way is to just vacuum clean them, and their webs and debris. Don't forget the ceiling. Lots of spider debris is visible on the ceiling when you look at it carefully in good light. That's a much bigger source of spiders than any furniture ever is. A lot of spiders get born on the ceiling, and spend their lives crawling around the apartment. The vacuum cleaner does a lot more towards getting rid of them than any fumigation ever does. If you can't reach the ceiling comfortably with your vacuum cleaner, you need a better vacuum cleaner with the right attachments. And vacuum the furniture when you bring it from storage, just in case. They won't usually crawl anywhere out of reach of the vacuum, such as inside cushions or anything.

Raid only kills its food but now that it's been a few days it's probably dead
