What kinda locks do you have on your doors?

What kinda locks do you have on your doors? List brand name and type. Schlage? Kwikset? How many have Segal?

(For the record, I have Home Depot doorknobs and deadbolts (their Defiant Brand). I love em. Oh, yeah, to top them off for security, Medeco double cylinder commercial deadbolts, M3, front and rear, keyed alike. < big cheesy grin > :D

Yale, sliding bolt locks.

Front door; Yale mortise thumbset. Back door, Arrow M11 knobset with Arrow E61 Single sided deadbolt, both bright brass. All keyed alike.



Medeco doesn't add any strength to a wooden door jamb. Unless you have a key control problem and steel, concrete filled frames, Medeco is overkill.

To me, I don't have a preference as to brands.



If you are installing these on the entry doors and there are windows within reach, make sure that the deadbolts are keyed on both sides. They won't do any good if someone can break a small window and unlock the door.

On my front door,I have Kwikset dead bolt and another old lock under it and a chain ,on the side door,I have a dead bolt ,I think Beahr,??/or something,and an older deadbolt and a chain.Back door two chains and an older deadbolt,Five cats ready to attack,and a puppy ready to take you down. LOL

well i have schlage locks they are very old but very good. they are 1 of the best locks made. but there is a lot of locks that are ok and good. it really depends on just how they are installed the right way or not. kwikset are good locks too.have a great day.

maximum bathing room doors have privateness locks that are certainly defeated. in case you have bumped off the knobs and shaft, you need to be waiting to tug back the keeper from the strike with a extensive screwdriver. in case you won't be in a position to call a locksmith - or as otherwise pronounced, attempt to get in from the outdoors if achieveable. in case you already know and supply us the style and splendor of lock then extra particular training are achieveable.

Schlage are the best dead bolt with at least a inch throw the part that goes in the jam should at least one inch long

Best bang for the buck.....Schlage, if you want to go extreme, and expensive Baldwin is the brand of choice for the 'upscale'

homes.

I have all U.S. Lock locks, they're rliable, last a long time and all that but they're not available in stores. the main reason i have them is because that's what i had in stock when all my stuff needed to be replaced

we have none just inside knobs why lock if some one wants in they will damage something any way this saves alot of bother second question is also none, none why have insurance there is a hefty deductable for most. we down sized years ago

I do not know brand names, but my door is the type you have to lock with a key. ie. it does not self lock. I do not have additional locks.
