Which salt spreader is better? The plastic (polyurethane)or stainless steel? And why?

If the plastic get real cold will it crack?

after using both for years, and replacing the plastic ones because the axles gum up with salt, we spread salt by hand, from a bucket with a scoop. actually use less this way.

If you can find, get a wooden one.. That's the best..

dunno, but it wont corrode like metal will when in contact with salt
